Les Heures

2022

In Les Heures, each hour of the day is translated into a photogram, exposed under red light and imprinted as a singular trace of time. Installed as a wall sequence, the work unfolds as a luminous diary of duration, where the viewer’s gaze resonates with that of the artist.

Exhibited at Galerie La Volante in Paris and Arles, the installation meditates on the instability of lived time. The possibility of a “twenty-fifth hour,” evoked by Jean Giono in La rondeur des jours, hovers at the edges of the work: an elusive temporality beyond measure.

Conceived as a multiple, Les Heures continues to expand: each collector is invited to join the artist in her darkroom to create a new “hour,” extending the cycle and memory of the work.
