En lieu sûr reflects on the mechanisms by which memory resurfaces unexpectedly — through a sound, a scent, a location — echoing the involuntary memory described by Proust. Each recollection forms a singular neural pathway, unique yet precarious, subject to erasure under the sediment of time.

The series materializes these elusive processes, giving form to memories that oscillate between the body and its environment. In doing so, it proposes memory itself as a site: simultaneously internal and external, fragile yet enduring, perpetually inscribed in an unstable equilibrium.
